Here you can see the old
trusses and the first new attic truss going into position.
A few more new trusses
have been installed and the existing shape of the gable end wall
can be seen.
The new attic trusses were
installed in sections together with the rear cat-slide dormer so
that everything could remain water tight. Although many attic
trusses were installed, most of the new roof was actually hand cut
to size.

cat-slide dormer.
Internal view of the newly
constructed front pitched roof dormer that will have the new
staircase installed.
Once the roof work is
complete the internal walls of the bathroom, hallway and bedrooms
were constructed and then insulated.
Looking down from the loft
conversion you can see the new staircase installed that mirrors
the existing one.
On the 1st floor level you
can see how the new staircase matches the existing one before
decoration.
The bedroom has now been
plastered and is ready for the skirtings, architraves and
radiators to be installed.
The second bedroom has
also now been plastered and the front access door has been
installed for access to the front storage area.
The bathroom is now being
tiled once the ceilings have been plastered and is prepared for
the final grouting.
The tiling is complete so
the sanitary-ware is now fitted to the bathroom.
Toilet and shower are also
installed and ready for use.
The finished staircase is
identical to the existing one to complement the whole stairwell
area.
The smaller bedroom is now
decorated with the velux window and access door to the front
storage area.

larger bedroom rear "cat-slide" dormered area with rear
window.

The smaller rear bedroom
shown with a desk within the rear "car-slide" dormered
area.
Side view of the property
shows both front and rear dormers together with the infill bricks
on the gable end. Both dormers were cladded in "Hardi-plank"
which is a fibre based board with a woodgrain effect available in many
colours, being maintenance free and hard wearing makes this a
great product for these types of dormer.

cat-slide dormers. The UPVC windows match the existing house
windows. The two panels below the dormer windows are solar panels
for the customers heating system.
