Before the conversion
starts you can see how space is limited within the loft.
The floor joists have been
constructed and the start of the dormer construction is prepared
The dormer is erected and
is now ready to be clad with plywood and felted over for the night
to keep the roof water-tight. The felt roof is then put on the
following day and the external tiling is also started
The Velux windows to the
front of the bungalow are installed and insulation begins
The cheeks and roof of the
dormer are also insulated

windows and insulation
The whole conversion is
now plaster boarded and then time for a big tidy up ready for the
plasterers
The loft has now been
plastered and is ready for all skirting and architraves to
be installed. The open plan staircase really makes this room look
big, and the large windows provide great natural light.
The triangular windows on
the gable end of the bungalow also lighten up the room and provide
a great view
The external roof work to
the dormer is complete along with all fascias, soffits and drain
pipes to blend in with the existing ones.

the new triangular windows.
The stairs have now been lacquered
with a natural finish
The bedroom has been
carpeted and fully decorated in neutral colours.
