| The two darker coloured
roof timbers in the centre were the original roof. The black felt
triangle shows the original roof shape. The new white felt shows
the extension of each side of the roof to form two gable ends.

View to the end of one
gable end with the new roof timbers over head forming the rear
flat-roof dormer. |
The insulation here is
"celotex" with 100mm thickness in the low level
supporting wall and side wall, then 50mm thickness in between the
sloping roof-timbers and 70mm thickness over the top of this to
make up the required thickness whilst still providing a 50mm gap
to the rear for ventilation purposes |

 |
 |
| This is the rear main
bedroom built over the top of the existing extension to the
bungalow. It is a "Velux" type conversion hence the
sloping roof to both sides. This room has just been insulated and
plaster-boarded and is now ready for plastering.
|
The first front bedroom
has now been plastered and is ready for the fitting of the
skirting boards, architraves, lights, sockets and radiator |
The staircase has also
been installed. This one has a "kite winder" at the top
and bottom. The handrails and spindles are put on towards the end
once the loft has been plastered. |
 |
 |
 |
| Skirtings, Architraves,
handrails and spindles are now installed in the new hallway. |
The bathroom is prepared
for the new shower tray and sanitary-ware. |
The second front bedroom
has now been plastered and is ready for the fitting of the
skirting boards, architraves, lights, sockets and radiator |
 |
 |
 |
| The skirting and
architrave have now been installed together with the new
radiators. A small wardrobe was also constructed with shelving for
the customer. |
The bathroom has now been
completely tiled for the customer with ceramic tiles and the
sanitary-ware has also been fitted. |
The toilet has been fitted
and the waste pipe has been boxed in ready for tiling |
 |
 |

|
| The customer also required
hand made wardrobes to be fitted during the construction with
hanging rails and shelving. |
The doors are installed
and hand cut to suit the shape of the wardrobe and roof line. This
was finished in simple melamine that requires no further painting.
They could also bee constructed in MDF - for painting any colour
or even a Teak or Oak finish as required. |
The staircase has now been
carpeted and decorated |
 |
 |
|
| Rear view shows the
stepped apex roof constructed over the top of the existing single
storey extension with a rendered finish, plus the dormer to the
left hand side. |
The front view of the
property which was converted from "hipped" sides out to
gable ends. By using the unused old tiles from the rear the roof
looks like it was always there! |
