To form the "gable
end" the ridge is extended across to the external wall
The timber work for the
rear dormer is now installed and the existing roof timbers are
still in place under the new dormer
Internal walls are now
constructed for the bathroom and the insulation is also being
installed
The internal wall around
the new staircase position is also installed
The dormer is covered with
structural sheet timber and the holes for the new windows are also
cut out
The rear dormer is now
felted with breathable membrane before it is battened and tiled to
match the existing roof tiles
The inside of the dormer
is fully insulated throughout
The staircase has now been
installed then the hallway plastered and the hand rail fitted
The en-suite is tiled and
the sanitary ware is installed

our loft to the right is fully insulated thus preventing any heat
escaping hence the snow remaining on the roof unlike the loft
