The Scaffold has been
erected so the 1st day begins with an access point into the roof
to prepare for the arrival of the steelwork
The Steels arrive and are
lifted by crane carefully into position
The materials are also
lifted by the crane onto the rear scaffolding loading bay area
The floor joists and
steels have now been installed so the rear roof is stripped off in
preparation for the building of the dormer
The new dormer is
partially constructed. You can see the new roof joists and the
rear wall of the dormer before it is clad with external grade
sheet plywood
From inside the dormer the
- the windows openings have been formed and the external plywood
has also been installed
View from outside the
dormer - the felt has been installed together with the timber
battens to the rear which shall be clad in UPVC to match the rear
of the house, the side cheeks of the dormer have been tiled
The internal walls are
constructed for the bedroom and bathroom
The windows are now
installed together with the required insulation

it either!
The stairs are now
installed with the new handrails and spindles wich were also
replaced on the existing staircase
The entire loft has now
been plastered and is ready for the second fixing of the new
doors, architraves and skirting board
