This end of terrace
property riqured a "Cat-slide" type front dormer

the large size of the existing roof structure the design
provided two bedrooms, a large landing and also a good sized
bathroom |

and two separate staircases. One dormer was created as a
large open plan study/playroom and other was split in to two
rooms to provide a dressing room, with fully fitted

A left handed
semi-detached house. The internal skin of this house is
timber framed which would normally mean that additional
loading from a loft conversion is not possible due to the
weight of steels, which are normally incorporated in such
projects. Elite lofts used special light weight structural
timbers throughout the loft conversion, which also gained us
recognition from the
"Professional Builders Magazine" in August
2011. Please click

A single master bedroom complete
with en-suite was created together with a new study area on
the 1st floor. The existing boiler was also replaced and re-sited
within the new loft room.

This semi detached
property originally had a "hipped" side. As the
picture shows, we converted this to a "gable end"
to maximize the available room within the conversion. The
side window that you see is within the new stairwell to
provide natural light. Two bedrooms were created together
with a large bathroom. |

This end of terrace
property had already been previously boarded out as a hobby
room. Unfortunately it was not structurally sound or up to
current building regulations. A new loft was created with a
rear dormer that also extended into the existing extension
to provide two new large bedrooms and also a new bathroom.
The first floor bathroom was re-fitted also with new
fittings to allow for the installation of the new
staircase. |

A semi detached
bungalow with a "hipped" side. We converted
this to a "gable-end" by extending the ridge
across in line with the external wall and then built a
dormer to the rear. This provided a large bedroom with
en-suite and also a further room to be used as a study from
the bedroom. |

This property did
not have enough roof height, so a complete new
"attic-truss" roof was constructed that
increased the height by approximately 1.2metres. A
"pitched roof dormer" was constructed on the
front where the stairs rise into the conversion and two
"cat-slide dormers" were constructed to the rear
with slate roofs. This conversion provided two additional
bedrooms, a large landing and a bathroom. This was
completed in 9weeks. |

A detached bungalow with a rear flat-roofed
extension. The roof on this bungalow sloped in from all for
sides so you could only stand up in a limited area in the
centre of the roof. The roof on each side was taken out to
"Gable Ends", a dormer was then constructed to the
rear to provide 3 bedroom's and a bathroom. A "Velux"
type conversion was then added to the rear above the
existing extension to provide a further bedroom to make the
whole conversion into 4 bedrooms and a bathroom. Completed
in 9 weeks.
